Data Dashboards

The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs maintains and collaborates on a number of data dashboards. These dashboards serve as a tool for accessing multiple sources of data in one place and displaying that data in ways that promote more efficient data-driven decision making and strategic planning.  Most importantly, this data aims to help prevent as many Pennsylvanians as possible from battling addition and to help those that are suffering from the disease of addiction.

DDAP Prevention Data Dashboard

DDAP, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State Data Center at Penn State Harrisburg, has gathered data from a variety of sources such as the Pennsylvania Youth Survey, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the PA Uniform Crime Reporting System, around the topics of substance use and gambling behaviors, consumption, consequences, and risk and protective factors.  This information is displayed in an easy-to-use format (e.g. charts, tables, maps, etc.) and is available to Single County Authorities (SCAs), local provider agencies, coalitions, researchers, and the general public. Opioid and Substance Use Disorder Stigma in Pennsylvania

As part of the Life Unites Us stigma reduction campaign, DDAP collaborates with the Pennsylvania State Data Center at Penn State Harrisburg on a data dashboard focused on a variety of stigma indicators. Datasets include naloxone administrations and EMS transportation after overdose reversal, warm hand-offs, opioid prescribing practices, location of problem-solving courts, results from the baseline and follow-up surveys on SUD stigma in Pennsylvania, and more. The dashboard website also contains data briefs on specific topics, a map of community-based organizations, and houses the bi-monthly Life Unites Us webinar recordings. View the SUD Stigma Dashboard

DDAP’s Data Page – Governor’s Executive Budget Program Measures

Each state agency has its own webpage on Open Data PA that displays program measures submitted annually as part of the Governor’s executive budget. DDAP’s program measures include the number of Single County Authority-funded individuals admitted to treatment each year, the number of licensed treatment facilities and their inpatient and outpatient capacity in Pennsylvania, and the number of Get Help Now hotline calls.
